Another last-minute inspiration...
Eileen and I regularly hang out with folks from the Baha'i Fellowship of LI. One of the members sends out a weekly text containing inspiring memes on the theme of blessings.
So, about an hour ago, I went searching for "super bowl blessings" to send to the text thread and my eye caught this article about the Eagles' wide receiver A.J. Brown.
Disregarding a thought that was concerned about including "G-d" in a post, I'm throwing caution to the wind...Let's see how and where it flies....
As I see it, A.J.'s remarks (in the text and enclosed video) invite us to play our positions as effectively as possible - with focus and passion.

After reading the article and watching the videos it contained, my mind remembered a great Steve Miller Band song. As I scanned the search results, my imagination landed on this first song. It's filled with images of fathers and their sons...

From Midfield to Middle Earth....

After the Game...the Career...is over...
As I listened, I imagined several ways I was interpreting this song. I'd like to hear your thoughts, including any examples from your life...
"Same dances in the same old shoes
You get too careful with the steps you choose
you don't care about winning but you don't want to lose
After the thrill is gone
After the thrill is gone
After the thrill is gone, oh
After the thrill is gone"
