The Emperor's NUDE Clothes...“But even the president of the United States sometimes must have to stand naked…”

Consider this an Eve of INSTRUCTION post (sorry, Barry McGuire)….

My observations stand regardless of the party leaving or entering the arena...

Neither the party on the right nor the party on the left has in mind the best interests of the people beneath them, as they use their money and power to CONTROL our daily lives...

in THEIR best interests...

We are all connected...

Theologians and scientists tell us we’re all connected. Our EVERY thought, word and action reverberates to EVERY other person, plant, animal and beyond.

THEY MATTER!!!

So, let's begin paying attention to the nature of what we are thinking, speaking and doing...

It's NOT in our best interest to demean another person in thought, word or deed...

OUR thoughts, words, and deeds ARE affecting everyone and everything else!

NEXT, let's try wishing our “enemies” well...

"The cosmos is also within us"...and them...

The above lyrics (up to and including "us") from the "Symphony of Science" video are echoed here in this composite video edit of two performances of George Harrison's transcendent song performed here on Long Island in 2005 & 2006.

Theologians, scientists and others with wisdom remind us we’re all connected. Our EVERY thought, word and action reverberates to EVERY other person, plant, animal and beyond.

A Song for the Inauguration…

…and for the first day of the rest of our lives...

The Emperor's New Clothes

Lest you be called a fool, it's in your best interests to go along with the majority opinion...BUTT...If you're courageous enough, you can continue to call 'em as you see 'em and you're sure to find kindred spirits in life's alleyways (See "Courageous Fools..." below).

As the tale unfolds, the only person who says what he actually sees is a young child...SO,

Children, teach your parents well...

And you, of tender years,

Can't know the fears that your elders grew by,

And so please help them with your youth,

They seek the truth before they can die.

Teach your parents well,

Their children's hell will slowly go by,

And feed them on your dreams

The one they picks, the one you'll know by.

Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you will cry,

So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

“And a little child shall lead them…”

NOTE: Finding this next video and on the national celebration of the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is why I write. First, to learn...and then to share what I'm learning.

The sign held by this young 1963 civil rights protester during the Birmingham Children's Crusade highlights the hypocrisy of some fundamentalist Christians and their leaders.

On May 2, 1963, thousands of children gathered at Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in place of their parents, who, under Alabama law and social oppression, faced harsh penalties such as loss of their jobs and jail time if they protested the racist and unjust segregation laws of Alabama.

In response to the mass arrests of the children, Commissioner of Public Safety, Bull Connor, finally ordered police to use police dogs, high-pressure fire hoses, batons, and arrest these children if "deemed" necessary. Despite this harsh treatment, children still participated in the marches. On May 5, protestors marched to the city jail where many young people were being held and continued practicing their tactics of non-violent demonstrations. Jail cells were filled to capacity with children, and there were not enough police to manage the children. [Source]

From weavers of cloth…to Weavers of tunes...that shed light on the holes in the fabric of our society…

With a hammer, bell and a song they sing out DANGER and WARNING...

Well, I got a hammer

And I got a bell

And I got a song to sing

All over this land

It's the hammer of justice

It's the bell of freedom

It's the song about love between all of my brothers

All over this land

COURAGEOUS FOOLS: "You better duck down the alley way...Lookin' for a new friend"

These next 2 are right out of the Birmingham's Children's' Crusade:

As are these prophetic words:

While some on principles baptized

To strict party platforms ties

Social clubs in drag disguise

Outsiders they can freely criticize

Tell nothing except who to idolize

And then say God Bless him.
