Today, I bumped into Janis Joplin at Whole Foods...

SETTING THE STAGE

Today, in the parking lot at Garden City's Whole Foods, this combination of logos ("Logos") fired my imagination...

...and I actually started singing her song to passers by...

Keith Crocker, you should be proud of one of your students of music...

YUP! as shown by these other logos on today's Beamer...

I MUST MAKE AMENDS...

OPENING ACT

SOUND CHECK

NEXT...A BACKSTAGE PAPARAZZI PASS...

...that scales the terrain from the halls of power to the ordinary folks at the bottom of society...

Meanwhile...A messiah walks among the downtrodden...preaching FREEDOM to the captives...

Here's another cool version with great photos...

And here's that Porsche she's singing about...

"THERE'S A GRATEFUL DEAD SONG FOR EVERY OCCASION"

...so says friend Steve Bermont, fellow surfer who taught me the fine art of "playing with cars"...that became my CAReer path. I started out on burgundy (V Dubs) and soon hit the harder stuff (Lincolns...)

Janis & Pigpen...sharing the LOVELIGHT...

GOT HER PICTURE IN THE POST OFFICE...AND THAT'S ACTUALLY A GOOD THING!!!

BTW - She shares the August 8th publication date with Saint Dominic Guzman, the patron saint of astronomers...

Meanwhile, in other corners of our shared concert hall (globe)...

THE "27" CLUB

Both Ron "Pigpen" McKernan and Janis Joplin are members...

ENCORE...

I mentioned this musical influencer above and have learned from his vast knowledge base about things relating to music. His presentations at colleges, libraries and other venues are always fun and informative. Here's a post I penned a few months ago from my hospital room - my first-ever created solely...souly...on my iPhone...

You can check out his offerings in music and horror and other topics on
